TOONICATURE; noun
Not just a cartoon, not just a caricature…. It’s a HIGH quality thoughtful rendition of someone as if they were to be cast in a BIG BUDGET animated movie.
I give you, the TOONICATURE! See yourself the way you’ve never seen yourself before…. I’ve cartoonified quite a few friends already, but now I’m taking it to the people!
So, I am now open for commissions! Want a friend, loved one, or enemy forever captured in a cartoony blaze of glory? Then contact me with an idea you’d like to see! Here’s how it works:
- Send me your favorite photos that best capture the spirit of you, or the subject in mind
- Tell me about them. What makes them, THEM. (or you, YOU) How would you like them depicted? The only limit is your own imagination!
- I will first send you a proof sketch to make sure everything’s to your liking ( PS You also get 2 free revisions so we can really capture the Toonicature! )
- Then I bring it to life bridging old school coloring techniques and new school digital magic!
- POOF! You are now the coolest friend ever.

Pricing:
$100 – Single person toonicature with a color-themed background
(Includes ‘props’. For example, If your subject is holding a bat, or flying a kite, etc)
You can add “extras” to your Toonicature!:
- + $25 – Add background elements (like them in a car, on a horse, riding a dragon, at a desk, etc)..
- + $50 – TWO toonicatured people in one print! (great for newlyweds, twins)
- + $75 – TWO toonicatured people with all the trimmings (Add background elements)
- Special orders (Like Toonicaturing the whole Hockey team or a family portrait) will be priced upon request
* These prices include a High-Resolution Digital copy of the Artwork (great if you wish to print it yourself), Digitally signed by me, as well as a nice web-sized version so they can put it up on whatever social network they want, tagging you and saying what an awesome friend you are for giving them such a cool cartoon of themselves!
Sizes:
I usually work in 11×14, 300dpi. The reason for this is that 11×17 or “Tabloid” paper is the largest size that can be printed on the rent-a-puters at Kinkos. Plus a common frame size is 11×14, so.. there you go…
You can request any size though… If you want it square, lemme know… if you have a frame in mind that’s a bit different like 7×15 (yes Ive seen those) I can do that too.
Framing + Signature:
Besides the high-res and web-sized digitally signed copy you will be able to download, I can print, frame & hand-sign copies for you! I will ship it FedEx*…
- 8×10 – $15 (includes framed print, signature and standard shipping)*
- 11×14 – $25 (includes framed print, signature and standard shipping)*
- 16×20 Deluxe- $40 (includes framed print with matte border, signature and standard shipping)*
- For custom sizes (ie – you might have a pre-purchased frame that is 20″x20″) I will only charge you for the cost of the print and roll it up nice and safe and send it to you, + $5 standard shipping. You will be notified of all costs first in case you change your mind & want the art in a standard frame…it happens.
* I will use FedEx as a standard for shipping, if you need it FAST the expedited shipping will be added to the price. Frames will be packed carefully since they are glass
How to pay me:
I will send you an email via PayPal with the total price. After I finish the artwork, I will request the payment and then send you the finished art!
